How would you describe your photographic style?
My primary photographic style is photojournalistic. I do take formal poses of the bride and groom, their families and wedding party. My goal is to provide a balance of spontaneous photos with formal poses and documenting the details your wedding day.
Why is your service such a good value?
I operate with a very low overhead. I provide services in exchange for studio space and have a low rent. Additionally, I have great relationships with several reception halls that refer me and I don't need to advertise at bridal shows. Lastly, I photograph weddings with a staff
of one. I believe it's really not necessary that a wedding be covered by multiple photographers. One photographer
may not be able to capture several angles of a particular moment at once,
but one photographer can capture every important moment. The way I do business translates into a great cost savings for my clients.
What if the camera doesn't work?
I would use one of my backup cameras. I bring three cameras, several flash heads, extra batteries, memory cards, lenses, etc. All of my equipment is state-of-the-art and professional grade. I have needed to use my backup equipment only once and it was a real life saver!
Can I meet with the photographer who is going to photograph my event?
Personalities can be as important as their style & services. Make your decision only after you have visited with several photographers and feel comfortable. I do not send assistants to cover any of my assignments.
Could you describe the events that occur, once the pictures have been taken?
The digital images that the camera takes are captured on a compact flash card and downloaded onto a cd, a hard drive and a backup drive for safe keeping. Each print is then optimized with software. A cd is made and sent to you. You will then view all of your photos on your computer monitor. You will decide which images you would like to have made into prints. A professional photo lab will produce the prints.
How long do I have to wait to see my pictures?
Generally, it takes 4-6 weeks to get your image files processed. You will view all of your photos and begin the process of selecting the photos that you would like to have made into prints. Once the print selection is made, it normally takes an additional week to have them developed. If the prints need to be shipped, it may take a few days longer.
How do you go about making my album?
The prints you select are the foundation of the wedding album. Once I know your favorite photos via your print selection, I will incorporate as many of them as I can to tell the story of the wedding day. The album isn't necessarily a compilation of favorite photos. Telling the story of what happened on your wedding day from beginning to end is the focus. The wedding album normally has about 60-90 photos that are used in it's makeup. If there are some particular photos that you really, really want to have included, all you need to do is let me know. You can note any absolute favorites right on the order form. After I complete the album layout, I'll email the the pages and you will have a chance to approve the album before it "goes to print". This process takes about 8-12 weeks.
How do I go about booking your services?
A signed contract agreement and a $350 deposit will book your event.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, I accept cash, checks and all major credit cards.
Can I get extra CD's?
I make additional cds for $15.00 per cd. Extra cds can be made by anyone with a cd burner. FYI - most recently manufactured computers have cd burners.
